2018 - Part 2

Here is where I left off from Part 1 of this story...

When I had already quit my job, applied for the visa to Sweden and was moving away from Vancouver in less than a month, I decided to go on one last date not realizing at the time that it would actually be my last first date I would have.

So you could say the date went great, we talked for hours yet the night flew by. After that there was no question about seeing each other again which we continued to do so. I had told him on our first date what my plan was and that I was going to be leaving and on the second date he told me that he was also leaving. So we actually only had about two weeks together until we would not see each other any more. We hung out as much as we could and again it was kind of an unspoken thing that we knew we would continue to talk and didn't want things to end there.

So the time came, he left, then I left. We continued to text and FaceTime then discussed about meeting up again. He is from Mexico so we planned a two week vacation together to see each other in then Jalisco and Nayarit area. 

We spent two wonderful weeks together and for me, it was during that trip that had cemented the relationship I think, you could say we officially discussed us being us. But again we had to go back home. But we already knew that we wanted to plan for me to come to Mexico for longer so that we could spent more time together, so as you can tell my original plans of moving to Sweden had shifted, now with the hopes of moving to Mexico to be with him.

But unfortunately it would come only seven months later leaving the rest of the year apart, him in Mexico and me in cold Manitoba during winter. I stayed with my family, working and saving money. But I felt pretty depressed during this time. Even though I had this new relationship and got to spent time with my family it was still a tough year for me with lots of ups and downs. 

It was during this year that I turned 30 which should have been a joyous occasion but was extremely depressing for me. I couldn't seem to get out of that state, until early 2019 when things would start to look up.
