2019...and taking our relationship to the next level

As you can see from these last photos something big happened, but let's go back to where I left off. 

So as June came around I had already decided to stay the 6 months, so at the end of June we had booked weekend away in Bacalar, Mexico where we celebrated our 1 year anniversary together. After that we were already talking about what the next steps would be with my departure from Mexico coming up. But at first our thoughts were I would go home for a bit and then return. But in reality neither of us really liked that plan as we weren't really happy in Tulum and didn't want to make staying there our future.

Knowing that we both didn't want that but wanted to stay together we discussed even further what we wanted our future to be, which was together. We knew that marriage was what we would eventually want so instead of waiting and having to play this game of back and forth while dating we thought why wait. So we decided together that we would get married, so before I had to leave then it was just figuring out the next steps, getting the proposal done and planning the wedding.

The day before I had to leave we planned a nice day together which was the day he proposed. (I won't go into all the details of that day now, as I will do a full post just on the whole proposal later.) It was bitter sweet after that because the next day we had to say goodbye to each other for a while...until I would return for the wedding. (Again, I will do separate, more in depth posts about all that.) Since we wanted to be together as soon as possible (for good) we wanted to have the wedding quickly after. 

So 2019 ends with me in Mexico as a married woman. It was a crazy year, never ever would I have thought in the beginning of 2019 would I be getting married. Starting the year moving in together, getting engaged and getting married all in the same year. But I like living a bit of a crazy life!!! lol

All this brings us to 2020 and well do I even want to go there...
