At the beginning of every new year there is always the resolutions from everybody floating around, like the ever so popular ones like eat healthy, exercise more, etc. This year is no different but for me I have decided that I am not giving myself resolutions, rather changing my mindset.

Lately I have been feeling much more content and happy with my life and I want to continue this new found way of thinking positive and willing to try new things. So instead of giving myself a goal I know I won't make which then will make me upset I am just going to continue with how I am feeling these days and let it shine through and see where it takes me.

Like so far it has taken me to be a much more positive person, I still have my down moments and I still want to work on that but I am conscience now of these way of thinking and I am making efforts to be better always.

As well as some new develops in my life that I never thought would happen but I realized a little while ago that I pretty much never eat beef, maybe the only time is when we go out to eat which is basically never. So now my mindset is too just stop eating beef, which is one of the small things I can do to help save the environment and there is nothing wrong with that.

Then there is a more typical one but not a forced resolution but rather a mindset and conscience of what food we bring into the house, instead of that junk food snack, rather have healthy snacks around to eat. Like chips, that is my weakness but I said I was going to try to give them up this month and I have not even craved them. I have been making sure I am still eating so I don't go hungry but rather it has been smoothies or fruit instead because we have it in the house.

I will end it there, but over all, what I am trying to say is that maybe we should not set our selves up for disappointment. If you are like me and make resolutions that you know you won't keep, then don't bother. Rather maybe try to find the area in your life that you could work on so that ultimately you will be happier because the happier and more satisfied with your life I think the easier it will be to become a even better person and make positive changing in your life.
