Mini BC vacation
As you know, my parents were out visiting for September long weekend. We had such a great time and I wish they could have stayed longer but we had a lot of fun and kept busy with adventures for the 4 days they were here.
They drove all the way from home which is in Manitoba so that is a good 2 day trip but it was so nice to have a car to get around in while they were here. So my boyfriend took on the task of being the driver so we could show them around. We took them to all of our favourite places like Whytecliff Park, Whistler and Victoria on Vancouver Island.
They got here on a Thursday evening so we just ate and chilled then on Friday we took is easy and strolled around the city, shopping around and eating. We drove to Whytecliff Park in the evening for a little walk and good views before heading to dinner in Horseshoe Bay at one of the great seafood places alone there. We ate at Trolls and the fish and chips there is amazing, literally SOO GOOD!! Then we walked around there as well and spied on some seals...seals are so cute!!
Saturday is headed to Whistler on the Sea-to-Sky highways making stops along the way at all the best places like Shannon Falls and Brandywine Falls. We hung outing Whistler for a good part of the afternoon just relaxing and walking around. On the way home we stopped at another falls which I had not been too and I don't think it's as popular but it should be cause it was beautiful. It's called Alexander Falls and it is super easy to get too so I would recommend paying it a visit!!
Sunday morning was relaxing just around home and a little breakfast near by but in the afternoon we made our way onto the ferry to Vancouver Island. My parents had not been to Victoria since their honeymoon so I though it would be fun to bring them back there. We had great time especially at our favourite location there, Fisherman's Warf, which is a house boat area where there is lots of good food and tons of seals up close. The house boats there are so cute, it makes me want one. This is another spot I would recommend.
Monday was a very cold cloudy day so we stayed in Vancouver, drove around Stanley Park, played games at home and went out for a nice meal but they left on Tuesday morning. It is always hard to say goodbye but we had a great time together and I already have to next trip home booked for the end of October so I will see my parents and lots of my family again soon!!!
