El Gran Cenote
I didn't realize before going to this cenote that it is THE cenote that you see photos of all over instagram and well just about everywhere. lol But I do understand why, it is beautiful.
But because of that, it is very busy and popular tourist destination. It is not far out of the town of Tulum, we biked there and it took about 20 minutes on the side of the highway. Also it is a bit pricey as well because again, they can get away with charging more because its a big tourist spot.
Once your in the cenote, the water is obviously very cold but the water is crystal clear and there is a big ave that you can swim through with bats hanging out in there which I thought was awesome. We spent a few hours there, swimming, taking photos, and chilling. There is cheap lockers so if you have valuables then you can lock them up as well which is nice. All in all, I thought it was nice and even with lots of people and high price point, it was still worth it to me.
