If any of you are like me, which I know some of you are, then wearing colour is a tricky thing. I tend to mostly wear black, white, grey and denim (lots of denim). So when I do try to wear colour I can't help but feel a little less like me. But I have learnt a few ways to add colour to my wardrobe and still feel like me so I thought I would share.

1. This should be common sense but sometimes it can be forgotten. But when buying a piece that you would normally wear in black might just be something you would wear in a colour. Like if you are a jeans a and t-shirt kind of girl, instead of pulling out the basic white tee, wear a pink one instead, it's on trend and you are still wearing a look you are comfortable in.

2. This is goes with the first one, but wear the colourful pieces with your favourite to go pieces in your wardrobe like you would normally wear these items. Like in this outfit I am wearing, I love pairing this blazer and jeans with black and white but instead this time I pulled out my Acne bright pink knit underneath. It was a look that I would normally wear just with a pop of colour and I think the look turned out amazing.

3. If wearing a bright coloured top still isn't your thing another great way to add a colour of colour is through your accessories. One of my favourite looks that I see on people is when they wear basic outfits but with a colourful shoe, like sneakers or maybe a full monotone look with a pop of colour in the shoes or bag.

So now you know, you don't have to wear something that isn't you. But in any case, if you are wanting to add colour to your wardrobe, using these tips and tricks, just playing around and seeing what you like can help get you started.
