Gold Beach

During our stay in France, we stayed in the Normandy area for a few days. We wanted to learn more about the war and see for ourselves what happened there. It was a bitter sweet kind of feeling. All the beauty surrounding us yet knowing all the horrible things that happened was a bit overwhelming. But definitely worth the visit. This is Gold beach where the British landed and helped the allies take back France. You can see the remains from the harbour that they made in the water. We stayed right here in a little town called Asnelles.
